Joy & Hope

Finding joy in the wild places of life—like these long days in the hospital—can feel impossible. But joy isn’t always found in the obvious places. It’s in the smallest moments: the soft coo my daughter utters as I kiss her on the head, the unexpected and timely appearance of a strawberry Push Pop for my son, or in detecting a glimmer of hope that our time away from home may soon come to an end. These little things remind me that even in the midst of uncertainty, joy and hope quietly persist, waiting to be found.
